The wildlife in Tjongsfjord is extraordinary. The wild animals make perfect models, so a camera in the pocket during your trip is a must!

EAGLE
Never before have your chance of spotting an eagles been bigger. They sit on the cliffs around the harbour waiting for the fishermen to come home and serve them supper. We always throw them a fish when we are closing in on the harbour after a fishing trip. Then we can see this magnificent bird come to get his meal and take off to feast on it. If you are lucky you might see them in pairs and whit their young ones.

MOOSE
On our peninsula there is so many mooses, that once in a while you get the feel that here aer more mooses that humans... The fact that they are not shy and come very close, makes them easy to photograph.

PUFFIN
In the break of June/July our "arctic parrots" come to visit the fjord. They come to eat of all the little fish that are gathered in the fjord at this time of year. At times you can see groups of several hundred birds. They are not easily scared and that makes them very good photo objects.

PORPOISE
We see porpoise all year around in the fjord and the surrounding waters. As they hunt small fishes you can hear their blow sounds long before you can actually see them. These animals are very curious and can come very very close to your boat.
